"Building Hope by Building Business"

The words Pain De Vie are French, and translate to English as the "bread of life". We are focused on building sustainable businesses in African communities that desperately need hope in a monetary sense. Life-improving wealth is not an unachievable goal with a little help.

HOW WE DO IT

By utilizing the lightest distribution system in the world, the Church, Pain De Vie will leverage existing and long standing personal relationships in Africa to create a pull through demand for the products we distribute, which are, in the US typically discarded as useless and considered garbage. These items are purchased or donated and we export the to Africa where our network of wholesalers are eagerly anticipating the shipment.

WHAT WE DO
We provide resalable goods and the means to sell to the people of Guinea, which is located on the west coast of Africa. By using the generous contributions from donors we plan to construct an import/export business, which can provide sorely needed jobs and an economic boost to the local Guinea economy. On the US side of things, we plan to run Pain De Vie like a for-profit business; however, the bottom line on Pain De Vie's "income" statement is reinvested into Guinea - in the form of education, health care, and other economy building investments.

WHY HELP
In country where 44% of the population is under 14 years old and the median age is 17 it is easy to understand why they may a helping hand. Like other African countries, Guinea's population has been ravaged by disease and war and has left behind many orphans. Extreme poverty (Annual household income is approximately $2100) and hopelessness are a way of life. We can make a difference!
